Village, East Elementary to receive grant money

The Village of Bethalto and Bethalto East Elementary School have been awarded the 2009 Madison County Solid Surface Playground Grant.  Each entity applied for grant money and each was awarded $16,000, which will alllow for the installation of the rubberized recycled tire material for plaground surfaces.

This makes the second time Bethalto has received this grant.  Since Nathan Hartman took office in 2006, the Village of Bethalto has received $44,000 in grant money through the Planning and Development Department of Madison County.
